This project was to see how well Plasticity fits into our modelling, rendering and animation workflow.
Plasticity is CAD for Artists, It offers all the power of NURBS modelling combined with the best workflow innovations from polygonal modelling software. It has a workflow optimized for creativity, unparalleled fillets, and the most advanced modelling tools it is the perfect choice for those who demand the best.
Modelling the Tonor microphone in Plasticity was amazing, the software is very intuitive with a fluid workflow that prevents the constraints we see in other CAD packages that exist today. I cant wait to see what the future holds for Plasticity!
Once the model was completed in Plasticity it was exported as a STEP file and then Imported into MODO, where the scene, materials and lighting would be setup:
Material and Textures are created and added to the scene.

The scene was updated with a more natural lighting setup and a camera position change for the animation.
